In this workshop, participants will learn what to eat before, during and after aerobic and anaerobic workouts to improve athletic performance and recover well afterwards. There will be further discussion regarding the impact of manipulating macronutrients in athletes. Supplements such as protein powders, caffeine, creatine etc. that are widely used amongst athletes, will be explored based on current nutritional research. Benefits and possible risks factors will be evaluated so educated decisions can be made.

Learn how to effectively communicate with your client and recognize the importance of your words. It's time to open the dialogue. Because not saying anything is NOT OKAY! Importance: Many fitness professionals lack the knowledge to safely and effectively design fitness programs that specifically meet the needs of eating disorder patients. Understanding the types, symptoms, causes, and possible treatment methods as well as the mental health components of eating disorders is paramount when working with this population.
