If entertaining guests is on your calendar, then these mushrooms will make a great appetizer. Not only are they quick and easy, mushrooms provide anti-aging and healing abilities while opting for turkey bacon helps to reduce the overall fat content.
Prep time: 5-7 minutes
- 1 lb package of turkey bacon, cut in half
- bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes prior to use
1 (8-ounce) package of crimini mushrooms
- Wash and remove the stems from the mushrooms.
- Place skewers on the grill over medium, turning as needed (approximately 4-5 min per side).
2.Wrap each mushroom with the bacon strip halves, overlapping the ends (use 2 strips if the cap is not completely covered).
3.Thread onto the wooden skewers, leaving space between each mushroom.
