The No Grain Bowl

This bowl is light, satisfying, and perfect for any time of the day. It contains healthy fats, high fibre, protein, healthy carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.

Cinnamon: A great spice that may help with blood sugar balancing, reduces heart disease risk factors, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immunity booster.

Hemp Hearts: Contain high amounts of arginine, an amino acid involved in the proper functioning of the Immune system; a great source of omega 3 and omega 6.

Goji Berries: One of the best and healthiest dried fruit. It is low in calories and sugar; great source of fibre and contains a high anti-oxidant content. Traditionally, these berries have been used to treat depression.

Flax Meal: High in omega 3 essential fatty acids, antioxidant, high in fibre, anti-inflammatory and hormone balancing.

Chia Seeds: High in fibre, blood sugar balancing and hormone balancing.

Pumpkin Seeds: Source of zinc, needed for thyroid health, hormone health, and thyroid.

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple
  • 1-2 cups nut milk (I used almond)
  • ¼ cup kefir
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp flax meal
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbs pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tbsp goji berries
  • A few sun dried cherries

Method:
Chop the apple, place in a bowl and add all ingredients. Mix well and enjoy.
